Reading
The rain in spain stays mainly in ... Germany!
despite my initial astonishment it turned out to be the best thing about the weekend as it literally didn't stop raining!.. hence why i have no photo's from outside as I didn't want to ruin my camera!...
we'd stopped off at a french supermarket and stocked up on wine, bread and cheese and the weekend turned into a romantic cosy campervaning trip with candles and champagne rather than the usual music festival!...
Although we did venture into the mud for a few!... Foo Fighters and Incubus were great, as were friendly fires and the sounds :)
but, on the way home our van saviour broke down!.. right on a huge motorway!.... after all sorts of hire company and recovery company details and a change of tyre we had to flag someone down on the motorway for a jump start! - i'm not sure i've ever been as happy as when someone pulled over!!
Southside

Tonight Sam and I are off to Germany for Southside festival!.... whilst I am extremely nervous about how muddy it will be I also can't wait. There are some great bands playing and an adventure with Sam is always fun :) x see you guys next week xx
Working Weekend
King Candy
Wintery Weekend....

Even though we had no snow this weekend the tube strike has still managed to bring my Monday morning to a halt... the overground, which i didn't think would be effected was non existent this morning so i am cosy at home, working on my laptop.
Steamboat Bordello

I am off to Cardiff for the weekend for a Hen do... but I am making sure that I am back in time for this on sunday!... described on their website as....
Specialising in unlicensed gambling, prohibited liquor and transactions of a carnal nature, the pleasure boats were the last bastion of Southern lawlessness. Now, step aboard the majestic Dixie Queen as The Last Days of Decadence brings a little of this lost age to the River Thames. A floating fantasmagoria of rogues, riverboat gamblers, good time girls, snake oil salesmen, fallen southern belles, confederate rifles, yankee doodle dandies, bootleggers, carnies, gypsies, tramps and thieves.
The Steamboat Bordello sets sail with 600 passengers from Tower Pier at 5pm sharp on Sunday 31st October, passing through Tower Bridge (opened especially for the occasion) and sailing onwards towards the Thames Barrier before returning to disembark St Katharine Docks at 10pm.'
Hot club of Cowtown, The correspondents, El Nino,Gaz Mayall , John Drain and Ruby Blues are all playing.. now to pick a costume!
Interactive music Videos...
The pair have been the brains behind a number of amazingly innovative new videos...
For the editors they hijacked googlemaps so that users could preview tracks from the albumn in the areas of London that inspired them!
here is a youtube video showing how it works..
they also created an interactive weather music video for lissie!..

you can change the background to represent the weather anywhere in the world..
watch it here
other projects include ACDC's excel video
and Kasabians Football Hero, A cross between Guitar Hero and a football game where instead of pressing buttons on a plastic replica guitar, footballers had to hit coloured buttons on a wall several yards away in time to a fret board display projected above...
heres a techy quote! "The coloured buttons on the typical guitar controller were replaced by five huge pressure sensitive pads which were carefully positioned on the wall in order to line up with the game's descending notes," he continues. "Each of the pads contained a piezoelectric vibration sensor, and these were wired back to an Arduino, which in turn was connected to the MacBook Pro we used to run the software. The footballers had to try to hit the pads in time with the music in order to play the Kasabian track Underdog."
